System requirements
Planned requirements for the Windows edition.

Planned distribution
The Windows edition is planned for the Microsoft Store as an MSIX package with Store-managed updates. A standalone offline installer is also planned for secure school labs and workstations without Internet access.
Both download destinations are pending. Gradebook is not yet available from this website.
Storage and deployment safeguards
The developers describe local SQLite storage with Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) and JSON snapshots. Do not assume working databases, sync files, or exports are encrypted. Authentication, recovery, deletion behavior, and security logging require release-specific verification before production use.
Institutional IT must configure device and file-server protection, restricted folder permissions, approved backups, and protected network transport. BitLocker and SMB protections are not automatically enabled by Gradebook. Keep active databases on their workstation; shared-folder synchronization exchanges snapshots rather than a cross-host WAL database.
